  An enormous collection of kidney-friendly recipes featuring U.S. regional cuisine, ethnic menus, desserts. And more. Also contain dietician advice on healthy eating with a kidney disorder.
• AAKP Renal Friendly Diet
  The American Association of Kidney Patients offers a guide on the importance of eating the right kind of foods when you have limited kidney function. An excellent resource with a thorough explanation of the importance of limiting protein, potassium and other nutrients.

  A patient, family and physician education organization collaborating with the National Cancer Institute and the American Society for Clinical Oncology. Their website offers educational materials and fundraising opportunities.
• Anemia: the National Kidney and Urologic disease Information clearinghouse
  An important resource for patients with anemia. The site features medical information on the causes, treatments, diagnosis and programs available for anemia patients.
• End-Stage Renal Disease
  Network Forum Website a non-profit organization that advocates for its members and helps coordinate inter-network activities within eighteen different nationwide End Stage Renal Disease Networks.
• PDK Polycystic Kidney Disease foundation
  Polycystic Kidney Disease is a genetic disorder affecting roughly 1 in 500 people that causes cysts to form on the kidneys. The PKD foundation promotes polycystic kidney disease awareness, research, educations and organizes events like runs and walks for charity.
• Nephcure foundation
  The NephCure foundation is an organization committed to finding the causes, treatments, and cures for Nephrotic Syndrome and Focal Segmental Glomerulosclerosis. These two conditions involve damage to the filtering mechanisms of the kidney.
• Fabry Disease
  A National Institutes of Health (nih.gov) website offering information and publications on Fabry disease, a condition wherein the body is unable to break down certain lipids and the patient is at an increased risk of heart attack, stroke, or renal failure.

• Renal Support Network
  A patient-centered not-for-profit network of people with chronic kidney disease and their families. The group provides a network of support and coping advice for patients with this chronic condition as well as educational materials and organ donation information.
• The National Institute of diabetes And Digestive and Kidney Disease-NIDDK
  As a part of the NIH (National Institutes of Health), the NIDDK’s mission is to conduct research on kidney disorders and make their findings available to the public. The site contains a wealth of health education resources and information.
• National Kidney Foundation
  A non-profit, public, and professional education and advocacy group supporting kidney health awareness and initiatives to “End the Wait” for a kidney transplant.
• Kidney Care Partners
  Kidney Care Partners is a patient advocate group consisting of patients, dialysis providers, and other health professionals to improve the experiences of people suffering from chronic kidney disease. The site features opportunities to get involved in current kidney issues.

• United Network for Organ Sharing-UNOS
  The country’s only organ transplantation and donation network, the United Network for Organ Sharing facilitates transplant awareness, patient education, and technology and research. Their transplant community provides life-saving kidney transplant opportunities.

Financial Assistance Programs

• American Kidney Fund
  A non-profit organization funded largely through donations, the American Kidney Fund offers direct financial assistance to dialysis patients as well as educational programs promoting kidney disease awareness. They celebrated their 45th anniversary in 2016 along with their continued top ratings by the nation’s leading charity evaluator.
